Books about grief and healing are beneficial because Grief is a personal experience, unique to each mourner and each loss. Grief can come in waves, with moments of peace suddenly replaced by overwhelming emotions. The strategies below provide tips to help you ride through the waves while dealing with grief. 

Do it comfortably

In many ways, experiencing grief is similar to recovering from a severe illness. Recognize your limits and separate what you must do from what you can wait for. Don't worry about maintaining your regular schedule. People will understand when commitments need to be canceled or rescheduled.

 Sadness can cloud your judgment and make it difficult to see beyond your current pain. Impulsive decisions like changing or changing jobs can have far-reaching consequences that you may not be prepared for. If you need to make an important decision, discuss your options with someone you trust, such as a friend or financial advisor. 

The painful feelings hidden inside are like an infection that fills the wound. For you to heal, you have to take them out. If your friend asks you how to help them, ask them to be with you and listen. Tell them how important it is for them to be able to express what they think and feel. If you think you need more than just the support of a friend, consider talking to a professional counselor. 

Express yourself creatively 

Writing is another great way to express you. Try keeping a journal or writing a letter, whether you send it. When words don't get out, artistic tools like painting and sculpture can help convey what's in your heart and soul. Take care of your physical health.

You might not feel like exercising, but an occasional walk can boost your energy and help you sleep better at night. Enjoy it. It's hard to be sad, but that doesn't mean you must always feel bad. It’s essential to stop dwelling on the grief. 

Enjoy it as much as possible, such as reading a good book like a healing grief book, watching a movie, playing cards, or resuming other activities you enjoyed before losing. Please don’t feel guilty about it.
